I'm Dr. Madalyn Ward, and I've been a veterinarian for over 40 years, the last 30 of which have been spent specializing in holistic equine health.

As my clients moved to a holistic, balanced, natural lifestyle, their horse’s thrived. They suffered less often from chronic conditions and had fewer emergencies, such as colic.

While there are some amazing advances being made in equine medicine, there is still a lack of educational, useful, and practical information available to the horse keeping community, especially from the holistic perceptive.
With the crisis of decreasing numbers of available equine veterinarians and rising costs. I have seen a marked increase in desire to learn a more holistic, basic, approach to horse keeping, that one can manage on their own.
In response to this educational need, I have developed a free self-help platform, entitled AskMyriah. Through this platform, you can ask specific questions about horse care and management. AskMyriah’s answers will reflect my holistic approach of addressing the underlying causes of conditions. Detailed answers and recommendations are given and are based on my 30 years of direct experience and case work.
